Know that, know this, uuuh, someone else love Euripides!, know this, yada yada. So while this book is so full of knowledge conserning women's place, I. I know more about women's place, role and work in especially Greek (but also in the Roman) society than I know about men's place, role and work. Greek (the language) teacher Inger from ØB. I read this book with a background as a High School student of Anc. I just have one issue: I didn't read the book with that background. Before this book, most books about the Anc. My thoughts: I'm perfectly aware that when this book came out it was, "wow". And it doesn't just focus on the wifes, but the book also have a lot of stuff re whores and slaves (though not so much about goddesses, as far as I remember. While the book mainly focus on Athenian and Roman women, it does also include Spartan women, Lesbian women (both kind D ), women from pre-Classical period, and women from other places. Summary (my words): The book is about "Women in Classical Antiquity". Title: Goddesses, Whores, Wives, and Slaves - Women in Classical Antiquity
